FAQs

I have insurance from my employer, but I don’t know how much it covers. Can you find out for me?

Absolutely! Simply bring your insurance card with you to your appointment and our receptionist will be happy to obtain a breakdown of your dental coverage.

Please be advised that some insurance companies will not release any information to us.

Do I have to submit my insurance claims myself?

Our receptionist will be happy to process all of your insurance claims electronically on your behalf.

Please be advised that some insurance companies request claims to be submitted manually.

My spouse/partner has insurance as well, can you submit to both insurance companies?

Unfortunately at this time we are unable to submit two or more claims during your visit. In the event of additional coverage, we can provide you with a detailed claim form to manually submit to your secondary insurance provider.

My insurance covers less than 100%, when do I have to pay the difference?

All dental fees are due at the time of the appointment. We currently do not accept payment directly from your insurance provider, but we will be more than happy to submit any and all dental claims to your insurance company at the time of your appointment.

Do you accept patients currently on Ontario Works (OW) and Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)?

Of course! Please bring any and all documentation with you to your appointment. If you are a new patient, please be sure to advise the receptionist prior to booking your appointment.

How much will my treatment cost if I don’t have insurance coverage?

Since each service is tailored for the individual needs of the patient, we are unable to provide a treatment plan and or cost over the phone or through email. Please contact us to schedule a consultation or exam to further discuss your dental needs.

I would like to bring my son/daughter in for his/her first dental check-up.

How should I prepare my child for his/her first visit to the dentist?

Here are a few great tips to prepare your child for their first dental visit:

  • Read books about visiting the dentist with your child a few days before his/her appointment.

  • Have a conversation about what is going to happen during their appointment.

  • Share your own positive dental experiences with your child.

  • Make sure your child understands why visiting the dentist is important.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us prior to the appointment.

I’ve heard that receiving a professional cleaning more than once a year is bad for your teeth. Is this true?

Absolutely not! Regular cleaning helps to remove the debris that leads to cavities and gum disease. The more often your teeth receive a professional cleaning the better!

All of our staff members take infection control very seriously. We follow the IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control in the dental office) standards, set out by the Ministry of Health and the RCDSO standard of practice.

  • Face masks and gloves

  • Disinfection of all countertops and work surfaces after each appointment

  • Use of disposable materials as much as possible

  • Regular use of disinfectant hand soap and hand sanitizer
